Slave Driver

Painting day 1 has come to a close.  My Mom, Heather, and I did some SERIOUS painting today.  My Mom painted ceilings, and Heather and I painted all of the woodwork and then edged around it so we’d be ready to roll tomorrow morning.  Pretty much, we all painted like it was a full time job today.  My poor Mom was zonked and went to bed early.  I don’t know why she keeps coming back to my house.  All I ever do is work her to death.  My sweet and wonderful husband cooked us all diner and kept an eye on Cooper this evening.  Keeping an eye on Cooper these days is like having two full time jobs.  All of our living room furniture is shoved in a big pile in the center of the room and Cooper thinks it’s his personal race track.  He is fast asleep in his crib in the middle of his empty half painted room.  He is one tough kid who lives a life that is no where close to "normal".  Those Mom’s who think their kid will only sleep in their own beds, or that think that their baby can’t handle a long trip in the car need to borrow Cooper for awhile.  Nothing fazes him.  I kept meaning to get my camera out today and shpot some pictures of the crew in action, but every time I thought of it, I had paint all over me.  We are going to see the new house tomorrow evening.  Otey and I have both only been to see it once (and it wasn’t together), so we’re excited to go and have another look.  It is official now. We went to the bank and signed our life away this evening.  We haven’t got a closing date yet, but it should be just a few weeks away.
