Roughin’ It

Tonight is our first night in our new house.  Cooper is sleeping soundly in his pack-n-play in the room next door, Otey and I are stretched out on the mattress from the camper in the middle of our bedroom floor with Louie right inbetween us.  In the living room there is a TV and some clothes and my camera case, and in the kitchen there are several bottles (clean & dirty).  Now that you know what is in our house, her is what is not in our house… Refrigerator, Stove, Any Furniture, Washer/Dryer, Trash Can, Etc… you get my point.  This is the closest thing to camping I have done since back in my girl scout days!  Cooper likes the house with no furniture.  He is crawling all around like a mad man.  Speaking of Cooper, he is now clapping.  My mom has spent many hours working on "patty cake" and it has finally taken.  He is pattying up a storm!  He is also turning lose and standing on his own.  He has tried several times to take a step and always ends up falling down.  It won’t be long.  Courage is not a problem with Cooper. If he could just get his legs to cooperate he’d be running wind sprints!  We are headed to Indiana tomorrow after Otey gets off work.  Hopefully my parents are going to follow us back to Iowa on Friday with a load of our crap.  It’s a relief to have a house, but I can’t wait until we can start the remodeling so I can be rid of these awful paint colors, tiny kitchen, and old bathroom.  I still have McCloy Family Thanksgiving pictures to post, but I might wait until I have pics from both sides of the family to post.  Off to sweet dreams of demolition and paint fumes.
