It was a good day for the McCloy family. The kind I like the best… all of us together… all day. Since we moved to Iowa and Otey has an 8-5 now, I really miss being together all of the time. We’ve been married almost five years, and for the first four of them, we spent probably twenty hours a day together. I know for some people that would be too much, but I just really… REALLY like my husband and being apart all day long is for the birds. Today we went to church and then out to the new house to get some work done. Our friends Kathy and Don came over to help with some electrical work… okay… Don is an electrician and he came over to do it for us… not to help. Otey followed him around and Kathy and I just sat and visited and watched Cooper. Speaking of Cooper… he was a stinker with a capital STINK at church this morning. When we walked into the nursery, he ran right over to the toys and started playing with the other kids. Otey and I left and headed to the sanctuary. I guess he had a near nervous breakdown when he realized I was gone. About ten minutes later, he was still SCREAMING his head off (I was spying through the window). I gave in and went in the nursery with him. He held me and buried his head in my chest for at least half of the service. I swear he thought I had went off to war or something. He’s usually so independent, it was odd that he needed me so much this morning. It’s nice to be needed… I just prefer it at a lower decibel.
