Grandparentpalloza

All I needed to say was this week was the deadline for Christmas orders and HERE THEY CAME! I have been processing orders and editing photos all day long. I’m thinking of hiring a nanny… or maybe a chef and a cleaning lady… ewhhhhh….. better yet, a personal assistant that does all of the above. Would that not be FABULOUS? If anyone is willing to take on the job for room and board… come on up to Iowa!
I feel so guilty. I have built up a pretty good sized following of loyal blog readers and I’m just in a blogging funk. Usually when stuff happens during the day I think… I’ll blog about that tonight. Well, not lately. It’s been a struggle to even squeeze in the time to do it. Today the only time I really was away from the computer was when I went to town to meet Otey and Cooper for lunch (Cooper went to daycare for a half day this morning). We were supposed to eat with the people from Otey’s office but Cooper threw a little wrench in the plans. Before I got there, he had some sort of a baby breakdown, or as my friend Katie would put it “he lost his baby mind”. Otey was outside walking in circles with him when I pulled up and he was still screaming. I decided not to fight the battle. I didn’t even go in. Cooper and I just headed to the grocery store and bank and then home. And if you were wondering… he found his baby mind about 10 minutes after we left the restaurant. I’m not sure what his deal was. He kept rubbing his head… does that mean he had a headache… a little baby migraine? Who knows… all I know is he wasn’t happy.
I did a little experiment a few weeks back to see if anyone read my random thoughts over there—->
I change it every few days and was wondering if anyone noticed… well just as I suspected, only about five of you read it. So, catchup little red tomatoes (get it… that one was for you DeWitt) and glance over there every once in awhile!
One more thing… I got THE BEST NEWS EVER this morning. My Mom is going to Vegas with us for the first few days we’re going to be there. Otey has to work non-stop while we’re there, and if I manage to tare him away from work for a couple of hours, he feels crazy guilty and has no fun anyway. Pretty much we just eat breakfast together, and ride in the same vehicle to the rodeo at night. He’s so busy that it’s going to be nice to have my Mom to hang out with at least for a few days. We have tons of friends there, but you just really can’t beat your Mom now can you? Otey’s parents come out every year for the last few days and I get to hang out with them some too. It’s going to be a Grandparentpalloza this year! Yippee from me… yippee from the Coopster!

  • Holly - I’m sending in my resume for the personal assistant. I hope you like takeout:)
