Today was a Lonnngggggg day. That my just be an understatement. I kept Cooper and Dally this morning until noon (don’t even ask how taking two kids under two years to a restaurant by myself went) and then I had to go to a secretary training session for four hours. The PRCA (the governing body for the highest level of rodeo in the US) has written a new rodeo secretaries program that we are all being trained to use. The program is fairly user friendly but there are still lots of small bugs in it that we are supposed to help work out. Cooper hung out with our good friend Cody Martin and his girlfriend Alicia for those four hours and then we all went to the first performance of the rodeo tonight (Cody qualified in the Saddle Bronc Riding). For those of you who don’t know, we are here because Otey is working the NFR (National Finals Rodeo). This is like the superbowl of our sport. The rodeo goes on for ten nights and there are millions of dollars paid out to the contestants. At the end of the ten days, the 2006 World Champions will be crowned. Dodge is a big sponsor of the event and Otey is here working for them. After the rodeo we had to go to a couple of stores to find Cooper’s formula, thought we lost Otey’s credit card, stressed, searched, canceled it, and then found it. I then wrapped up the night with my "homework" from the secretary training. I have to be back in training at 8am tomorrow morning. Could someone please just come out here and repeatedly slam my fingers in the car door because I think that might be more pleasant then another day of training.
I took a bunch of pics today but the card is still in my camera and I can’t reach my camera bag from my side of the bed where I am currently tucked in. They’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
