Toothless

Today started off a little crazy.  Otey and I both woke up feeling extra cruddy, so while he was in the shower, I decided a hot breakfast would make his day start better.  Cooper played on the floor with one of his 9,000 toys and I made Otey a full spread.  After he got dressed to face the day, he sat down to a big breakfast complete with OJ (my mom and dad are vitamin C freaks when they are getting sick… see mom, I do listen).  Otey was about two bites away from finishing his breakfast when he suddenly said "Oh Crap!"  Otey’s front three teeth are a bridge (from a running with a sorting stick incident as a child) and his bridge came unglued!  Now, wouldn’t that make for a good Dodge Rep… "Come on over and look at these here trucks (picture his teeth missing)".  It is now 8:00 am and the display opens at 9:00 am.  Before the display can open, Otey has to clean all twelve cars and trucks and get all of his paperwork out.  So, he got his teeth situated and headed off to start getting the display ready and I began a dentist search.  Thank goodness the second dentist that I called said to send him right over, so Cooper and I changed out of our PJs super quick and headed off to clean trucks.  Otey went to the dentist and was back a few minutes after nine.  Cooper and I got all of the vehicles cleaned (in between multiple pukes, a few fusses, and many giggles with people passing by).  I swear, Cooper wants to be friends with everyone.  If someone within eye/ear shot doesn’t talk to him immediately, he yells and smiles until they have no choice.  I have said from the very beginning, he might not ever be the smartest kid in class, but he is sure to be the life of the party!

The wind in Kansas is awful (picture the tornado in the Wizard of Oz).  It was so bad today that it blew the satellite dish off the top of our camper.  That made for a long afternoon with no Guiding Light!  Tonight Otey, Cooper, and I went to Chili’s for a late super, and now both guys are deep in slumberland.  That is where I’m headed also.  Talk to you tomorrow…
