Ugh!  Ahh!  Oh No!

We missed Grandma McCloy & Uncle Cody’s Birthdays!  Can you believe it?  We love you guys and are sooooo sorry.  We need a family list of Birthday’s on the McCloy side!  Happy late Birthdays!

I have been a pretty boring blogger lately, but I have a funny one for you today.  Yesterday, some where in the middle of our 8:30am – 7:30pm drive, Cooper and I had a little (okay… BIG) incident.  I stopped at a Flying J to fuel and get our propane tanks filled.  For those of you who don’t know how the propane thing works, it’s right by the RV diesel pumps.  You just pull up to the pump, then you pick up the telephone on the pump and tell the nice little desk lady to please send out a propane dude to fill your tanks.  I did all this like usual.  I then opened the back door and was going to get Cooper out of his carseat and let him play on the back floorboard of the truck while I pumped the diesel (we keep toys back there for stops).  When I lifted Coop out of his seat, a big "blop" of poop fell right out of his pants leg!  I quickly jerked him out of the truck and realized that there was poop from his waist to his ankles.  Thank goodness it was hot out.  I stripped him down to his diaper right there at the gas pump and then quickly toted him in to the camper shower to clean him up.  I got all of the ka-ka cleaned up and decided he needed a super fast waist-down bath just to make sure I got it all.  I had just got all of the soap rinsed off of him when the little propane dude came to the open camper door.  Now I have a naked (clean) kid that is having loads of fun playing with his bath toys, and a propane dude waiting on me.  I quickly let all of the water out of the shower and closed the VERY hard to open door.  I figured I would run outside really fast, get the propane dude started, and then come back to get Cooper a diaper and some clothes.  He loves his bath toys, so I just knew he’d be content for one minute.  When I opened the camper door to get back in and tend to Cooper, I found a naked baby running up and down the camper with a plastic shovel.  He also had reached in the butt-wipe refill pack that I had out to clean him up and had strung them from one end of our 34 ft camper all the way to the other.  I’m talking strung them.  They were still connected together and there was a thirty foot line of them!  He was laughing hysterically and thinking he was BIG stuff.  I"m telling you, I’m raising a streaker!  I got him corralled, diapered, dressed, and back in his carseat.  Two more poopy diapers later… we were FINALLY home.  I never thought I would be so elated to see the "Ottumwa" sign, but I was last night!  It’s great to be home with Otey for a couple of weeks and it is WON.DER.FUL. to be done with the college rodeos until September!

  • laurie - Well, I didn’t get a chance to chat with you Saturday night. But, I did meet Cooper. He is pretty neat and really cute. He had me laughing. If you ever need a babysitter, you know how to find me.
