A friend of mine shared a wonderful gift with me that has made me step back and reevaluate why I started photographing people. It’s made me really SEE what I’m shooting again. I think that once my business got established and I realized that I was shooting images that people wanted to purchase, I got lazy. Sometimes I just shoot was is comfortable, what is safe, what makes me money.
I don’t want to be that photographer.
Don’t get me wrong, every session I shoot has a few of those photos in them… a few photos that reflect what I’m about. A “few” isn’t going to be enough anymore. I feel like a new fire has been lit and I’m ready to get back to my roots. Shooting not just people… shooting feelings… shooting emotions… shooting love…
This session was a wonderful place to start.
