Quotes

I have been going through stuff in my office sorting, pitching, and organizing getting ready for the big move downstairs (that's a whole other subject… I am dreading having my office downstairs… right now it's right in the middle of the action but we need this bedroom for baby No Name).  In the bottom of a box from our last move, I ran across a deal that used to be taped to my computer monitor.  Print outs I made of my two very favorite quotes…

"People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be."
-Abraham Lincoln

"Few things are more infectious then a godly lifestyle.  The people you rub shoulders with every day need that kind of challenge.  Not prudish.  Not preachy.  Just crackerjack clean living.  Just honest-to-goodness, bone-deep, nonhypocritical integrity.  Authentic obedience to God."
– Charles R. Swindoll

When we get my office moved I'm going to frame those two quotes.  Large.  Large enough that I am forced to read them multiple times a day.  If those aren't words to live by, what are?

  • Nicole - My very favorite quote is, “If God brings you to it, he’ll bring you through it!”

  • KathyMcCloy - Blog Stalker #1… I would email you back when you comment, but you don’t leave your real email address! I LOVE the name Jackson. It is my #2 favorite boy name after Cooper. I thought I wanted to name this baby Jackson Arthur and call him Jax until I found out Jackson is in the top ten baby names in America and has been for a few years. Just the other day we were at a mall and Cooper was playing in the little playground thing and I heard two Mom’s yelling at their “Jacks” or “Jackson’s”. Just to many in this little ones generation. I think you and I are on the same wave length on the name thing though… keep them coming.

  • codymc - I still like Greyson — and it meets BS#1’s criteria as well.

    😀

  • aunt harriet/mom - I have two large quotes on the wall above my computer screen at work that I read all day every day and love. One is, ” Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you are unwilling to move your feet.” and “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain…..” I love them both – there is an idea for a new contest – best quotes
    Love you…and your mom too!

  • Blog Stocker # 1 - Side note: I judge a good name by how is sound when you are trying to get your childs attention to let them know there about to get in trouble. Isn’t funny when your mom calls your first and middle name together, to this day a chill goes down your back. Say this out loud..Jackson Arthur (using your mommy tone of course). It totally works together.

  • Blog Stocker # 1 - What about the name Jackson Arthur McCloy?
Do you think it sounds to presidential? You would have the option of calling him Jack McCloy or Jackson McCloy. It has a ring to it…don’t you think.

  • stormi gatti - How was the Dr. Apt? Is baby no name going to show up this weekend?
