As promised…
BEFORE
How can you forget the Pepto Pink Kitchen? EVERYTHING was pink except for the ceiling. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Outlets, Paper Towel Holder, Edges of the cabinets, a line around the white ceiling. EVERYTHING!
DURING
The lovely powder blue living room. doors… trim… ceiling… walls… all baby blue. Look at Coop’s cute little caps hanging on his lamp.
Good bye pink! My cousin Heather was in charge of the roller and the "relaxed khaki" paint. My mom was in charge of ceilings and clean up. And I was in charge of the trim and cutting in. Heather also rolled EVERY door in my house (11 both sides). Every inch of the living room and kitchen had to be painted.
My Mom scrubbing out some paint brushes or cleaning something. She’s a very patient cleaner. That is a great trait in a Mom. The last patch of pink. sniff. sniff.
AFTER
The bathroom is still a work in progress. I am doing a paint treatment to try and cover up the nasty patched rough walls. The little bit you are seeing is like three hours worth. Here is the start of it…
You can not imagine how much I appreciate my Mom and Heather coming to help. It made the super tedious job of painting half a house seem like fun. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law Brandy offered to come help also. I was thinking I would take advantage of them the next week (since we have tight sleeping quarters at our house) and then what do you know… my first crew finished the job in three days! If anyone knows anyone wanting to relocate to Ottumwa, Iowa… I know a little house with a fresh paint job that will be for sale the middle of next week!
