…again. It sure is a lot harder to leave for a few days with a wild one year old! Otey is flying to Houston, TX in the morning, and Cooper, Louie, and I are headed to Indiana. Cooper has a Dr’s appointment with the FABULOUS DOCTOR DAN on Thursday. I’m not sure Cooper will think he’s all that FABULOUS after he gets his shots! If you haven’t figured it out yet… I have major attachment issues. I have a hair stylist in Missouri, and Cooper has a doctor in Indiana. I guess I don’t have attachment issues… it’s more like trust issues. I am going to break down and find Coop a doctor here in Iowa, I’m just procrastinating as long as I can. Here is a little tidbit for you… Doctor Dan knows how worried I am about finding a good doctor for Cooper. Here is what he said to do… Go to the Emergency room, the surgery center, and the pediatrics floor of the hospital, and ask the nurse for a list of pediatricians she’d recommend. Odds are, they will be in order of best to worst, and odds are, the top name on all three lists will be the same. My friend Ashley (who is a baby nurse in a hospital in Arkansas) also added that you should call at 9am and 9pm because of the shift change, you’ll get two different nurses. She also added (because she is as much of a worry wart as I am) that I could call back in four days, because most hospitals work three on three off… and that will equal four opinions form three nurses’s stations! What would I do without all these smart people in my life?
