I had a wedding (super fun by the way) in Marshall and a couple of other sessions to shoot this past weekend, and I had to be back in Marshall by Wednesday night, so I just decided to take up residence here this week. Otey had to go back to Iowa to work for a few days, so I'm currently lone-ducking it with Cooper and Grady in the camper. Don't feel too sorry for me, we aren't exactly "camping". We've got a huge camper with all the conveniences of home, but just not quite enough room for Cooper to burn all his two-year-old energy. Thank you Lord for my friends Erica and Kari that have helped me out the past few days during shoots and taking entries for this weekend's rodeo. I am so blessed with great friends. This afternoon Kari and I ran an errand and when we got back to the camper, Grady was sleeping in his carseat so I just set it inside and after Kari left, I decided I'd run through the shower before he woke up. Well, about three minutes into my shower Grady was SCREAMING at the top of his lungs (still safely strapped in his carseat) and Cooper decided he'd sing to him to comfort him. By the time I got out of the shower, Grady was still screaming at the top of his lungs, and now Cooper was standing in front of his carseat "singing" (really screaming) IN THE JUNGLE THE MIGHTLY JUNGLE, THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT…. IN THE JUNGLE THE MIGHTLY JUNGLE, THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT…. A-WHEEM-A-WHACK-A-WHEEM-A-WHACK-A-WHEEM-A-WHACK-A-WHEEM-A-WHACK as loud as he could over and over and over again. CHAIOS. This is my life. I love it.
I would like to say that I'm still hormonal… but I'm beginning to think that I'm just turning in to a big cry baby, but I seriously got weepy when I edited this session. Brooke's sweet little boy is just a few weeks older then Grady and I want these photos. I told her when I emailed her the password for her gallery that her session is probably going to cost me money because now I want to hire a photographer to shoot Grady and I. The best part, usually after the first couple of weeks of life, you can't get a baby to sleep during their session… oh did we luck out…
